               Mombasa:

  Mombasa is a large city situated on the Indian Coast, in the eastern Kenyan Coast province. Being the second largest city in all of Kenya, with over 700,000 inhabitants, Mombasa has a major port and an international airport, and is the centre of the coastal tourism industry.                Districts:

                     Mombasa Island:

  Kizingo: Kizingo is the prime residential neighbourhood. It features The State House, The Mombasa Golf Club, and the Aga Khan Academy, a private school.

  Kibokoni: Kibokoni is a part of Old Town, with Swahili architecture, and is home to Fort Jesus.

 Makadara: Makadara is a part of Old Town, with a large population of Baluchi soldiers who have settled in the area before it became into a town.

 Ganjoni: Ganjoni is mostly a middle-class residential neighbourhood.

  Tudor: Like Ganjoni, Tudor is mostly middle-class, with homes and shops.

                      Outside Mombasa Island:

 Nyali: Nyali is an up and coming residential area on the mainland, just north of Mombasa Island. Nyali is connected to the mainland by the New Nyali Bridge, but many residents in Nyali don't need the bridge, as Nyali has malls, banks, cinemas, schools, and reduces the need to enter the congested city center. Nyali is home to many resorts along the North Coast beaches, and is home to the Nyali Cinemax, the Nyali Golf Club, and schools such as the Mombasa Academy, and the Tiny Tots Kindergarten.

 Likoni: Likoni is a lower class south of the city center, connected by ferry to downtown and Nyali. This neighbourhood is mostly populated by non-Swahili tribes.

  Magongo: Magongo is a poor outlying township that connects the city to Moi International Airport along the main road to Nairobi, the nation's capital. The township is extremely poor, with unemployment, poverty, and crime being  major problems.

 Mikindani and Miritini: Mikindani and Miritini are are outlying townships also on the road to Nairobi. These townships are built in the Changamwe industrial park, and the resident that live there work in Changamwe, downtown, or the port.

 Bamburi: Bamburi is an outlying township north of Nyali, along the road to Malindi, a city 100 kilometres from Mombasa. The Bamburi cement factory, the Mijikenda beach, and the Haller Park wildlife conservatory.

  Diani Beach: Diani Beach is a world-class beach resort south of the city.
